Beckham Creek Cave is a real cave, carved into the side of an Ozark bluff in Newton County, Arkansas. The air inside stays a steady 65 degrees no matter what the calendar says. This is outlaw country: Jesse James and his gang reportedly owned a cave nearby in the late 1800s, and the wider Newton County cave system was a known outlaw refuge of the era. A century later, in the 1980s, a co-founder of Celestial Seasonings bought Beckham Creek's cave and performed the first excavation and major improvements. Today, it's the only luxury vacation rental in the world built entirely inside one.
You'll find four bedrooms, a chef's kitchen, an indoor waterfall, and a fire pit that crackles against living rock. Outside, 256 acres of bluff, trail, and Ozark sky belong to your group and only your group. No shared rooms. No other guests. Ever.

What is Beckham Creek Cave Lodge?
Beckham Creek Cave Lodge is a 5,800 square-foot luxury vacation rental built inside a natural, living cavern located in the Ozark Mountains just 20 min from the quaint little tourist town of Jasper Arkansas. It sleeps eight guests across four bedrooms on 256 private acres, and every reservation is a total property buyout. There are no shared stays.
How much does it cost to stay?
The nightly rate is $2,200, with a two-night minimum, no other fees except tax. Monday and Tuesday nights get a 10% discount with code MonTues10. Full payment is due at reservation, however we allow a full refund, or you may change your booking dates up to 30 days before your stay. Every booking covers the entire property, not a single room. All amenities are included except food, beverages & any additional services you select.
What's included in my stay?
A total property buyout where you get everything to yourselves: 5,800-square-foot, fully equipped luxury cave with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, wifi, big screen TV with satellite, Netflix and Prime included, we are situated on a 256-acre private, secluded, end of the road type of nature's playground. You'll get a fun guided interior cave tour and a UTV tour of the entire property, which includes the adventurous ride up to the authentic "Native American Encampment". Our beautiful aquamarine blue spring-fed pond offers kayaking, swimming, or catch and release fishing (bring your own gear). Lounge under the canopy of trees next to a spring-fed brook in our Hammock Haven picnic area. Enjoy an evening around our fire pit or a short walk to have your coffee or wine at our "Eye of the Needle bluff overlook". Can we actually stay in a real cave in Arkansas?
YES! Beckham Creek Cave Lodge is a fully livable cave home built inside a natural Ozark cavern, even boasting a naturally created waterfall in the living room which scientist have studies and named "The Spanish Piano Waterfall". The cave keeps a natural temperature of about 65 degrees year-round through a geothermal climate system. The property has been featured on numerous TV sites such as Netflix in their series, "The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals".
Is the lodge pet-friendly?
We love animals dearly, but pets aren’t permitted at Beckham Creek Cave Lodge — only registered service dogs, please call/text Rayne to discuss: 870.365.9785.
HERE'S WHY: Our lodge is built into a cave with natural rock walls and a living indoor waterfall, and even the most well-behaved pets struggle to tell the difference between inside and out. Pet urination on the rocks and innocent playing in the waterfall disturb the cave’s delicate ecosystem and are nearly impossible to fully clean from porous rock. After years of trying, we made the heartfelt decision to protect this one-of-a-kind environment for every guest.

How do I book my UTV ride & inner cave tour during my stay?
After you book, you'll receive a welcome letter with instructions, but, it'll be as easy as telling Nate, our fun and friendly on-site caretaker and guide, what day/time you'll want to take it during your stay. You'll be texting him your ETA and he'll be meeting you to show you around and will schedule these at that time.
Can I book "just a room for the two of us"?
Unfortunately, we don't offer the option to book just a single room, as the property is designed and rented as an entire home. However, if you're planning a romantic getaway for two, you'll still be able to enjoy our stunning Honeymoon Suite, which features a king-size bed, beautiful natural cave walls, custom ambient lighting, and an intimate, steamy master bathroom nestled within its own private cave room. The suite also includes a cozy sitting area overlooking the indoor waterfall in the living room below, as well as a unique round bed surrounded by a circle of natural stalactites. It's truly a one-of-a-kind experience for couples looking for something special.
What time is Check-in and Check-out?
You may check-in as early as 3:00 p.m. and check-out is by 11:00 a.m.
Do you have a laundry?
Yes, we have a utility room with a washer and dryer, you're welcome to use it, however, do not bother with the towels and sheets upon check-out, leave that to us!
Do you have a coffee pot?
Yes, we do have a regular coffee pot and provide regular coffee, plus, we have a Keurig and provide the pods.
What all do you provide in the kitchen?
It's equipped as a "Gourmet Kitchen" with everything you should need and some of the basics of seasonings and oil. You'll be bringing your own food or hiring our chef directly to coordinate your meals. If there's a specific piece of equipment you need, feel free to text me (Rayne, lodge manger, 870.365.9785), to see if we have it. If it seems like something we should be providing, I'm always happy to buy it to have it here for you.
What about cave creepy crawlies?
We pride ourselves on using all natural cleaning products to maintain the cleanliness of the cave and providing a peaceful, relaxing stay for our guests. Because you are in the middle of the wilderness and we humans are in their territory, we do have an occasional concern with pests, which include: cave crickets, centipedes, spiders, mice, etc. We do our very best to eliminate these in a safe and natural way without using pesticides and chemicals. It is part of the experience of staying in a natural, living cave. When you create a reservation with us, you understand this possibility and accept it.
